Brunet users may face slow services

SOME Brunet users may experience slow or intermittent internet services in the next 10 days due to maintenance on faulty cables, Telekom Brunei Berhad (TelBru) said in a press release issued yesterday.

According to the press statement, two of TelBru's international uplinks connecting Internet transit via SEA-ME-WE 3 submarine cable systems are undergoing repair due to cable faults at Segment 1.7 route in North Asia, near Taiwan.

The repair work by the SEA—ME-WE 3 consortium, which began on March 10, will take approximately 10 days to complete.

TelBru and the SEA-ME-WE 3 consortium assures Brunet users that any interruptions caused by this unforeseen circumstances will be kept at a minimal and expressed their apologies for any inconvenience caused.
