Apart from the president, also included in Brunei's delegation to the meeting was the council's vice-president Pg Hjh Zabaidah Pg Hj Kamaludin as well as honourable secretary Hjh Kertini Orang Kaya Paduka Setia Di Raja Abang Hj Abu Hanifah.

To mark the council's silver jubilee, members of the council gathered yesterday to celebrate the occasion with the recital of Dzikir Asama' al-Husna, followed by mass Maghrib prayers led by Pg Hjh Halijah Pg Hj Damit.

The congregation then recited the Surah Yaasin, followed with Isya' right after the doa read recited by Hjh Taibah Kudi.

There was also dzikir Marhaban performed by those attending the event.

The formation of the council was initiated by Persatuan Pertiwi and Association of Women of Brunei (WI) on November 7, 1984 and was officially registered on April 6, 1985. It was launched by Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha on July 6, 1986.
