Six students gain awards from RBPF

The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) yesterday presented six children of RBPF staff with the RBPF Excellent Student award in celebration of their achievements in the 2009 'A' and 'O' Level exams as well as the Religious Studies Certificate (SPU) exams.

The Excellent Student award, given annually to RBPF children in recognition of their exceptional academic performance, is aimed at encouraging them to explore their full academic potential and excel in their studies.

The award presentation ceremony held at the RBPF Training Centre's Multi-Purpose Hall in Gadong Police Headquarters also saw the presentation of Hari Raya gifts to 15 RBPF departments/units/formations/stations.

Present to hand over the awards and gifts to the recipients yesterday was the temporary Acting Commissioner of Police Pehin Orang Kaya Pendikar Alam DCP Dato Paduka Hj Hasrin Dato Paduka Hj Sabtu .

The ceremony which was attended by officers of RBPF as well as families of the six students began with a recital of the Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a welcoming address by the event chairman Snr Supt Azahari Hj Awg Besar.

The event chairman lauded the achievements of the six students in the 2009 examinations and advised them to pursue their studies to the best of their abilities.

He added that the ceremony yesterday demonstrated RBPF's care and consideration for the families of their officers and personnel as well as the leadership and guidance in both personal and professional capacity.
