THE Attorney General's Chambers (AGC), in conjunction with the State Tender Board, on Thursday conducted a muzakarah (discussion) session on "Contract Management" for the Ministry of Communications (MoC) and the departments under the Ministry.
The event was held at the Dewan Theatre, Ministry of Finance. The session is one of a series of lectures for government ministries and departments initiated by the AGC.
Prior to this, the Civil Division of the AGC also held a muzakarah session on debt collection management for government officers on April 7. The event was attended by senior officers and officers from the AGC, the State Tender Board, the MoC and departments under the ministry.
Two presentations were given entitled "Penilaian Tawaran dan Garispanduan Menghadapkan Sokongan Tawaran" by Nurul Izzah Abd Kahar, finance officer at the State Tender Board, and "Contract Management" by Hjh Norhijradini Hj Saidi, a counsel from the Civil Division of the AGC.
Following the presentations, the attendees were given the opportunity to ask questions relating to the submission of tenders and contract management.
The AGC they will be organising more muzakarah sessions with different topics in the future in its effort to support Brunei Darussalam's Wawasan 2035 as well as the AGC's Strategic Plan 2012-17, which are to raise awareness and further enhance the knowledge of the government and the public.
