Police confirm man found at Kg Rimba house died of 'unnatural causes'

POLICE have confirmed that a 61-year-old man found dead in his Kampung Rimba home on Thursday died of "unnatural causes".

Pathologists confirmed this after conducting a post-mortem examination yesterday, said a spokesperson for the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF). He declined to give further details on the cause of death. The identity of the deceased has been withheld. The RBPF are treating the man's death as suspicious and are investigating a potential murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code. The deceased, a retiree who lived alone, was found by a relative at approximately 1pm Thursday. Officers from the Crime Investigation Department and RIPAS Hospital responded swiftly to the scene of the incident, while a large crowd gathered outside the deceased's house.The Brunei Times
