The invited photojournalists are expected to publish their photo essays (based on the four selected themes) in the newspapers or magazines they represent. This must be done not later than 15th September 2008, so that their published photo essays are eligible to compete for the Best Photo Essay Awards in addition to the top three prizes:

• 1^st Prize US$3000
• 2^nd Prize US$2000
• 3^rd Prize US$1000.
