Darts: Time to get to the point

ATTENTION all local dart fans.

The National Dart Association of Brunei Darussalam, in collaboration with RIZIQ Event Management, will be holding the Open Dart Championships at the lobby hall of Citis Square, Berakas, from Feb 14-18.

This will be the first time that the championships are organised by the National Dart Association, as they hope to increase the popularity of the sport especially among the local youths.

The winner of the men's singles category will be returning home with $500 cash prize, while the runner up and third placed player will be awarded $300 and $100 respectively.

In the men's double category, the winning duo will be awarded with $700 cash prize, while second and third placed team will win $400 and $150.

All winners, including those placing eighth to 16th in the singles and fifth to eighth in the doubles, will also be awarded sports equipment.

The organisers will also be holding a lucky draw for the players competing in the championships.

The draw will be made during the finals, slated for Feb 18.

The closing date for the competition will be on Saturday, Feb 11 at 8.30 pm at the lobby hall of Citis Square, Berakas.
