Muara Vella douse Splitfire in charity netball meet

THE Muara Vella Netball Club Mix Team emerged champions in the charity netball tournament, organised by the Splitfire Netball team for the Cambodia and Thailand Flood victims, last Sunday at the Tutong Camp Gym.

They edged past hosts Splitfire 11-10 in a tightly contested 20-minute final.

The champions had to make their way past four teams before playing in the defining game.

They started their campaing on the right foot by defeating Brunei-Muara Jetters with the score of 13-7.

The second match saw the Muara Vella Netball Club cruise to a 7-0 victory over the Freestyle.

They beat Revo69 in their third match with a 14-3 scoreline.

The Muara Vella Netball Club booked their berth in the final following a one-point 9-8 win against Netballicious Breezestres.

Undoubtedly one of the most succesful names in the local netball scene, Muara Vella Netball club will be looking to carry on their winning form into this year's upcoming tournaments.

The prize giving ceremony for all winning teams will be held on the February 12 at the Tutong Camp Gym.
